A district judge had jurisdiction under the Magistrates' Courts (Northern Ireland) Order 1981 art.16 to conduct a preliminary inquiry into an offence which had occurred in a different county court division because the defendant, who was before the court pursuant to remand obligations in respect of a separate offence, could properly be regarded as "within the county court division" for the purposes of art.16(1).
