In relation to a man arrested on suspicion of making indecent images or pseudo-images of children, the judge had been wrong to refuse an application by the police for permission to serve a notice under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 s.49 requiring the disclosure of encryption keys to the pen drives of the suspect's laptop.
