Empty cars used to tackle crime

Police in Merseyside are using old patrol cars as 'scarecrows' to put off offenders in crime hotspots.

Chief Superintendent Alan Jones, who is behind the scheme in Wirral, claimed it was proving effective.
The cars are left in areas known for drug dealing and other anti-social behaviour, with the locations being constantly changed.
