It was lawful for the Employment Appeal Tribunal under the procedure in Burns v Royal Mail Group Plc (formerly Consignia Plc) [2004] I.R.L.R. 425 to request further reasons and information from the employment tribunal before determining an appeal made on the grounds that the employment tribunal had failed to consider relevant matters and had given insufficient written reasons.
