Drug addicts want help to quit

A majority of drug addicts would rather receive help to kick their habit than be taught how to take drugs safely, a report has said.

Nearly 57% of drug addicts wanted treatment courses to help them get off drugs rather than offer "harm reduction" initiatives such as methadone programmes or clean needles, researchers at Glasgow University found.
