Almost half of the UK population form their opinions about crime and the police from television dramas, a new survey has revealed.

The TV Crime Influence Study, commissioned by a satellite television channel, showed that 47% of people admitted being influenced by dramas.
A total of 2,500 people aged between 16 and 55 were questioned and voted London as the UK's most dangerous area.
