Blunkett tackles police standards

The home secretary is to outline plans to improve the relationship between the public and police in England and Wales.

David Blunkett will set out a minimum standard of service the public can expect from the police.
The Police Superintendents' Association (PSA) conference will also hear plans for the 43 county forces to be replaced by a single police force.
