[2004] EWCA Crim 1626

There was nothing in the defendant's medical condition such as to give rise to exceptional circumstances justifying suspension of a two-year sentence following conviction for 41 indecent assaults on males. Taking into account the defendant's age, which was now 79 years old, and the aggravating factors, the sentence would be increased to two years' imprisonment and an order would be made disqualifying him from working with children.
