Police nicked 17 crooks after tricking them into appearing on a mock TV game show.

Officers wrote to the men and women - all wanted for non-payment of fines or failing to appear in court - inviting them on to a Channel Five show The Great Big Giveaway.
When it came to time for them to appear, they walked along a red carpet, through a cloud of smoke - and into the hands of two uniformed police officers from the Hampshire force.
The proceedings, which have been attacked by civil rights group Liberty as "distasteful", were recorded by Five and will be shown later this year.
