The High Court has ruled that a student who took Newcastle University to judicial review after he failed his final exams should have to pay the defendant's costs.

Deputy judge Andrew Grubb said at a hearing earlier this month there was 'no evidence' Paul Crawford was too poor to be subject to an order for costs.
