The fact that an employee carrying out work fitting and installing gas appliances had been negligent did not of itself preclude the employer from establishing that he had done everything that was reasonably practicable in conducting his undertaking to ensure that third persons who might have been affected thereby, were not exposed to risks to their health and safety.
