Where an offender had been instrumental in dishonestly obtaining a benefit for the company by which he was employed, it was possible to place a value on that benefit but it was essential for the Crown and then for the judge to look to see what real benefit he had obtained and to examine the evidence relating to it in order to arrive at a fair valuation.
