In a successful appeal against conviction for handling stolen goods, the judge's direction was too wide and the jury could have found the appellant guilty even if she had not accommodated the stolen goods with the requisite intention. A person assisted in the retention of goods by housing them, providing accommodation for them and permitting them to remain there.
