[2006] EWCA Crim 27

A judge was entitled to refuse an adjournment requested by a defendant in order to enable him to secure new legal representation where he had reached the conclusion that there would be no unfairness in allowing the case to continue. The question was whether a fair trial continued to be possible and in the instant case a fair trial had taken place.
