Although the Courts Act 2003 s.66 provided a circuit judge of the Crown Court with a power to sit as a district judge of the magistrates' court, it did not confer on that judge a power to hear a prosecution based upon an information brought outside the time limits specified by the Magistrates' Courts Act 1980 s.127.
