Extended sentences of 17 years, based on a starting point of 16 years' imprisonment, imposed following pleas of guilty to robbery were reduced to sentences of 14 years. Despite the aggravating factors, including graphic threats of violence, and factors indicating greater harm and culpability such that a severe custodial term was merited, a starting point of 12 years was more appropriate.
