Criminal barristers consider strike action over fee cuts

Barristers will meet this week to discuss strike action that could severely disrupt criminal courts in England and Wales.

The cuts in legal aid fees announced last week by Lord Falconer, the Lord Chancellor, have caused "serious mistrust" among criminal prosecution and defence barristers, according to a senior source, who said that "anger is running deep".
