A court had correctly convicted a licensee of an offence of permitting the consumption of intoxicating liquor outside permitted hours on an occasion at his licensed premises contrary to the Licensing (Northern Ireland) Order 1996 art.41. The licensee had permitted alcohol to be served beyond normal hours when no entertainment or refreshment were provided to which the sale of alcohol was ancillary, contrary to art.44.
