The criminal effect of the next-door bully

Elderly people get a good press as neighbours, broadly well deserved; age steals the fire from fury, and wisdom creeps in where once hot-headedness ruled. I would wager, in general, that glimpsing an elderly neighbour next door could at least nudge a prospective buyer into confirming a slightly higher offer. With the exception of stellar individuals such as Sir Mick Jagger, their raving days are over.
