Elderly people get a good press as neighbours, broadly well deserved; age steals the fire from fury, and wisdom creeps in where once hot-headedness ruled. I would wager, in general, that glimpsing an elderly neighbour next door could at least nudge a prospective buyer into confirming a slightly higher offer.
