Correct offence class and trial type should be used in claims

It is important to ensure that the correct offence class and trial type is used in claims submitted to the LAA.
Providers must only claim one offence class under the Litigator and Advocate Graduated Fee schemes.
A full list of offences and their respective offence class can be found in Schedule 1, Part 7 of the Criminal Legal Aid (Remuneration) Regulations 2013.
Providers can claim under the class of any offence with which their client is charged on an indictment.
Where a case has more than one count on the indictment in differing classes, then providers must select one offence and the fee is based on that offence.
