[2013] EWCA Crim 1020

Sentences of nine years' and four years' imprisonment were not manifestly excessive where two members of an organised group had pleaded guilty to conspiracy to facilitate the illegal entry of immigrants into the United Kingdom. The conspiracy had lasted for a number of months, involved strangers, what was done was done for financial gain, the methods were highly sophisticated and involved the use of numerous false and forged documents, and the number of people who illegally entered was very considerable.
