In an appeal against a sentence of five years' imprisonment for an offence of indecent assault, the judge paid insufficient regard to the fact that the appellant confessed his guilt in circumstances where he was unlikely to have been identified. Accordingly his sentence was varied to two years' imprisonment, with an order of extended supervision for three years upon release.
