[2009] EWCA Crim 1219

A judge had been right to admit the evidence of a retired drug squad police officer as to the likely value of cocaine found in the home of an offender charged with possession with intent to supply, even though the documentation underlying his opinion came from confidential sources and was not disclosed to the defence.
