[2010] EWCA Crim 2327

The duty under the European Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings 2005 art.26 not to impose penalties on victims for their involvement in unlawful activities to the extent that they had been compelled to do so had been breached where the offenders, who had originally been trafficked victims, were convicted of offences of controlling prostitution for gain contrary to the Sexual Offences Act 2003 s.53.
