A sentence of imprisonment for public protection with a minimum period of seven years' imprisonment was excessive following convictions for aggravated burglary and possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. It was replaced with an extended sentence of 19 years' imprisonment, to comprise a custodial term of 14 years and a further five years on licence.
