PUBLISHED January 24, 2008[2008] EWCA Crim 202
A sentence of five years' imprisonment imposed on an offender with a serious criminal record for offering to supply a Class A drug was replaced with one of 12 months' imprisonment as his intention in making the offer to sell drugs was to steal money and not at any stage to supply drugs.
