Support services and PFI firm Serco saw profits jump 10% in 2004 and is expecting another year of strong growth as public money continues to pour into its coffers.

The company, which operates some of Britain's speed cameras, hospitals and prisons and runs the Docklands Light Railway in London, saw its annual profits increase to £74m from £67m in 2003, in line with what the City had been expecting.
