An IT fix to the Crown Court Litigator Fee system will prevent duplicate claims being entered from 18 July 2013.

The change means that a message will appear on your screen if the system thinks you are re-entering an online claim for a second time.

Preventing overpayments

We are making this change as part of efforts to ensure we have adequate stewardship measures to prevent overpayments.

Tackling this issue should benefit providers as well as the Legal Aid Agency. 

It means we do not have to chase suppliers to reclaim money and they will have more certainty about their cash flow.
