A campaign group is to hand in a petition at the Scottish Parliament in protest over a ban on sword sales.

The Scottish Executive is consulting on a new law which would either ban the sale of non-domestic knives and swords, or introduce a licensing system. But an Edinburgh armourer of the Save Our Swords group warned a ban could threaten a part of Scottish history.
