Detective who rode off into sunshine
PUBLISHED March 8, 2014Detective Sergeant John Davidson retired from the Met in 1998 on health grounds to a life in the sun on a full police pension. He and his wife, Evelyn, moved to the Mediterranean island of Menorca, where they run The Smugglers bar and restaurant.
