Sentences ranging from two to three-and-a-half years' imprisonment for conspiracy to steal and conspiracy to burgle imposed on a group of offenders who had engaged in a four-month series of ram-raids were unduly lenient in view of authorities indicating that, following a trial, seven years was the starting point for a single offence of ram-raiding.
