Application made for Stephen Ward conviction to be overturned
PUBLISHED December 31, 2013What must be the most elegantly written application ever to have been sent to the Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC) has been delivered this month. It is Geoffrey Robertson QC's plea on behalf of Stephen Ward, the society osteopath involved in the Profumo affair in 1963 who killed himself just as his trial for living off the earnings of a prostitute was ending.
