The AA today announced it has expanded its legal services provision into conveyancing.

AA Home Conveyancing has been formed in the wake of the creation last December of AA Law, following the granting of an alternative business structure licence.

The service is provided through a panel of specialist conveyancing law firms and is available for both members and non-members.

The AA has previously used its ABS licence to handle motor claims through a joint venture with law firm Lyons Davidson http://www.lawgazette.co.uk/practice/aa-makes-move-into-legal-market-with-abs-licence/5038578.article.

AA Law has been incorporated into AA Ventures, an umbrella organisation for all new business areas including financial services, publishing and hospitality. The new business is aimed at promoting services offered by the company in addition to breakdown recovery.

Mark Huggins, former managing director of Acromas Financial Services, has been appointed managing director of AA Ventures.

Huggins said the move into conveyancing was a 'logical development' of the company's expanding range of home and legal services.

The AA is also a home insurance broker and, in addition provides a range of low-cost online legal documents with legal advice, covering issues such as building work, complaints and disputes, probate, will writing and many others.

Huggins added: 'Many people are unsure where to go for conveyancing and selecting a suitable law firm can be daunting. 'AA Home Conveyancing provides an instant online quote that includes all costs that might be expected with a home sale or purchase.'
