Online modules on the provider training website

The online training to help you prepare for the legal aid changes that are being introduced on 2 December 2013 is now available.

These changes follow the consultation Transforming Legal Aid: Delivering a more credible and efficient system.

We?ve been able to put everything you need to know about the changes on the Provider Training website now that the relevant statutory instruments have been laid before Parliament.

Register for training

To access the training you will need to register on the site and complete all the required fields ? see below.

Anyone who has an LAA office account number and a practising certificate number should have them to hand when registering; those who do not can register without them.

The training consists of a welcome pack and four modules covering the changes on 2 December 2013:

  • overview to crime and civil changes
  • civil fees
  • crime fees
  • prison law

Further legal aid changes are not due to be introduced until early next year, and we will provide more online training modules nearer the time.

Training questions

If you have any queries about training only, please contact the Legal Aid Transformation Implementation Team ? see below.
