Under s.139 Criminal Justice Act 1988 there was a strong public interest in bladed articles not being carried in public without good reason. It was not an infringement of human rights legislation to require an accused to prove, on the balance of probabilities, a good reason for having such an article in his possession. * Leave to appeal to the House of Lords refused.
