Senior President of Tribunals Appointment: The Right Honourable Lord Justice Sullivan

HM The Queen has appointed The Right Honourable Lord Justice Sullivan to be the Senior President of Tribunals on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Kenneth Clarke QC MP, with effect from Monday 25 June 2012.

Sir Jeremy Mirth Sullivan (66) and was called to the Bar (I) in 1968 and was made a Bencher in 1993. He took Silk in 1982, was a Recorder from 1989 until 1997 and was appointed a Deputy High Court Judge in 1993. He was appointed a Judge of the High Court (Queen's Bench Division) in 1997. He was Knighted in 1997, and was Chairman of the Tribunals Committee of the Judicial Studies Board from 1999 - 2007. He was appointed as a Lord Justice of Appeal on 12 January 2009.
