Instructions to a karaoke machine synthesiser contained on a CD Rom and input by a musician who had listened to a song constituted a record of music that was then reproduced via the synthesiser for the purpose of s.182 Licensing Act 1964, so that the provider of the karaoke entertainment required an entertainment licence. * Leave to appeal to the House of Lords refused.
