A judge had been wrong to hold that the extradition of an individual, who had been convicted in his absence, would involve a breach of the European Convention on Human Rights 1950 Art.5(1)(c) and Art.5(3) , since these provisions ceased to apply at the moment of conviction by a competent court, and at that point Art.5(1)(a) applied.
