The court could only certify assets available to be realised as inadequate where the applicant had discharged the burden that the assets were either lost or had diminished in value. The court could not certify as inadequate a sum that the applicant had transferred into his brother's bank account or his interest in a home inhabited by his family, as he had failed to discharge the necessary burden.
