A judge had been correct to ignore an outburst from a member of the public as the jury were leaving the courtroom to consider their verdict on an accusation of sexual assault, as to draw attention to it would have increased speculation amongst the jury. Judges had to be trusted to make such decisions, as they had skill to do so and were in the best position to deal with the matter.
