In a claim for compensation for imprisonment after a wrongful conviction, it was not the case that any finding of judicial error or misconduct must necessarily amount to exceptional circumstances and therefore result in compensation. The fact that an applicant waited for 36 years to have an unsafe conviction quashed was relevant to the amount of compensation that could be paid but was not relevant as to whether any compensation should be paid.
