[2013] EWCA Crim 836

A sentence of imprisonment for public protection was appropriate for an offence of arson with intent to endanger life committed by an offender with alcohol dependency who was unable to control her aggression. An extended sentence would not have been appropriate as it was not possible to predict when it would be safe to release her.
