[2012] EWCA Crim 1356

For the purpose of calculating the available amount when making a confiscation order, money transferred to an offender's partner to purchase a property was a tainted gift under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, as it had been made during the six-year-period preceding commencement of proceedings and was worth significantly more than the legal charge provided as consideration for it at the time of transfer.
