[2013] EWCA Crim 2625

Concurrent sentences of four months' detention in a young offender institution, imposed following guilty pleas to three charges of assault, were manifestly excessive where the offender was a young man of previous good character, even though the offences were fuelled by alcohol and occurred at night in a public place. Concurrent sentences of two months' detention were substituted.
