In an application for permission to appeal against a sentence of 21 years' imprisonment for a campaign of violence and blackmail, the deterioration of the applicant's mental health could not detract from the factual reality of the harsh and wicked offences. Accordingly the application to appeal against the length of his sentence was refused.
