[2001] UKHL 61

The Suicide Act 1961 was not incompatible with the European Convention on Human Rights. The Director of Public Prosecutions had correctly refused to undertake not to prosecute in a case where a sufferer of motor neurone disease wished her husband to assist in her suicide.
