[2010] EWCA Crim 1280
A transcript of a telephone call made to emergency services by a member of the public who wished to remain anonymous was anonymous hearsay evidence and, having regard to the Criminal Evidence (Witness Anonymity) Act 2008 and the decision in R. v Mayers (Jordan) [2008] EWCA Crim 2989, [2009] 1 W.L.R. 1915, there had been no basis for its admission as evidence in a robbery trial.
