PUBLISHED November 24, 1999The Crown Court had not been entitled to extend the applicant's custody time limit on the basis that there was good and sufficient cause within s.22(3) Prosecution of Offences Act 1985, merely because no judge or court had been available for the applicant's trial due to pressure on the court lists.
