[2010] EWCA Crim 966

In the circumstances the robbery of an elderly vulnerable woman did not warrant a sentence of imprisonment for public protection where the offender's previous conviction for robbery did not involve an elderly victim and neither victim had suffered physical injuries. The appropriate sentence was a determinate sentence of eight years' imprisonment.
