[2011] EWCA Crim 252
A judge had not erred in admitting recognition evidence given by an off-duty police officer of his identification of a suspect from closed-circuit television footage where the officer had reported the recognition to his superior, made a note of it when he returned to work, and gave a description of his previous contact with M and thus an explanation of his ability to recognise him, all of which had provided a basis on which the jury could judge the reliability of his evidence.
